"Croûte au Fromage"
(Cheese Croute) for 2

Ingredients: 4 sliced of French Bread, 1/2" inch thick
4 slices of Ham
3 eggs
1/4" cup dry white wine
8 slices of Gruyère Cheese
4 T. clarified Butter

Method: Place 2 tablespoons of clarified butter in a saute pan, and toast the bread slices on both sides. Place 2 toasted bread slices in each casserole or baking dish and sprinkle them generously with the white wine. Place a slice of cheese on each bread slice, then a slice of ham and topped with the remaining cheese.. Bake all in the oven until the cheese is melted. Place 2 fried eggs on each Croûte and serve with a glass of white wine from Switzerland.
